Safe TM Services were proud to support Natta as the traffic management partner on the A264 Rusper Roundabout improvement works in North Horsham, commissioned by Horsham District Council. The scheme focused on easing congestion, improving pedestrian connectivity, and enhancing road safety—culminating in the installation of a new footbridge over the roundabout.
Our Role
Safe TM Services were responsible for the complete traffic management design and delivery, ensuring safe and efficient working conditions for site operatives while maintaining smooth and secure access for the public throughout the construction period.
Our services included:
- Full Traffic Management Plan design
- Deployment of lane closures and diversions
- Bespoke signage including early warning notices and route instructions
- On-site TM operatives for 24/7 monitoring and setup adjustments
- Provision and maintenance of traffic management equipment throughout the scheme
Keeping the Site Safe and the Community Moving
Our traffic management strategy was carefully planned to meet three key objectives:
- Protect the workforce – ensuring a safe working environment for all contractors on site.
- Safeguard pedestrians – providing clear, safe pedestrian access throughout the project.
- Minimise disruption – implementing diversions and phased lane closures to reduce the impact on motorists and local businesses.
This project required agile coordination with Natta’s construction teams and flexibility to adjust layouts in real-time to keep the public safe during critical phases—especially during steel beam delivery and bridge lifting operations.
Outcome
The result is a transformed junction that not only improves traffic flow in and around North Horsham but also provides safer, grade-separated pedestrian crossings via the newly installed footbridge.
